BBFC Rating
We have suggested that our full production would be rated 15 on the BBFC rating, by alluding to mature themes in the trailer such as violence and death. We have also promoted aspects of our production in the trailer that will appeal to teenagers, the most salient example being action elements in the form of gun and hand to hand combat, which is why we chose to opt for a 15 rating rather than an 18. In addition, we thought there would be no need for overexaggerated gore, lurid representations of drug use or segments with full nudity and/or sex and therefore the film didn't require an 18 rating. This is advantageous in the respect that it would open up our production to a broader, and potentially lucrative, market (young teenagers being one of the main demographics to watch films), but could possibly dissuade a mature audience who may percieve the production as too 'tame' for their liking.
